Why should I hire Strada to design the UATG Proving Ground?
We’re glad you asked! Strada has the unique skills, experience, and approach to move agilely from concept to completion (and beyond!), and deliver a facility that will return multitudes of value to your organization. We are passionate about design and the power of well-designed places to enhance people’s lives.
Strada's architects, landscape architects, planners and interior designers work together collaboratively to generate novel solutions that are only possible in a well-coordinated, cross-disciplinary environment. This mix of skills, under one roof, is especially critical for planning and implementing large scale programs. We anticipate a solid partnership with you to help visualize and implement a comprehensive, cohesive project.
02/
Can Strada keep up with my extremely aggressive project delivery schedule?
Yes! Strada’s crack team of zoning and code experts will machete through the thicket of red tape and regulation that poses the greatest challenge to time-critical projects. We don’t wait for things to happen, we make them happen.
03/
Which is more important—accelerated schedule or design creativity?
That’s a trick question: lightning-fast project delivery speed and design creativity are NOT mutually-exclusive goals. In fact, we believe that harnessing the enormous potential of design creativity and unconventional thinking is the key to achieving our shared goal of delivering an amazing, beautifully-designed facility on time.

How will Strada control costs and manage risk?
Fast-tracking a project can invariably increase risk exposure: less time for design can result in change orders during construction. We manage this risk by leveraging decades of experience in building and site design to avoid common pitfalls. Our careful, rational approach is balanced with an innovative spirit of calculated risk-taking design. Quality-assurance and quality-control is built into our process, from the very first concept sketches through punchlist review of the finished space. This keen focus on quality during design and documentation reduces change order exposure during construction.

What is Strada’s relationship with UATG?
Just a few short years ago, Strada worked with UATG to design the UATC at 50 33rd St. For us, this project marked the beginning of a solid relationship with UATG—a relationship we hope to expand and deepen by working with you on the UPG project. We respect UATG’s work on the forefront of autonomous transportation technology and believe we would make ideal partners for this next step in your growth.

Why are you hosting a kick-off party?
Good relationships are a key driver in the success of any project. We believe our work is ultimately about the people who will use it, and needs to be an extension of their collective personas. Our process is team-driven, and cross-disciplinary – and our clients infuse disciplines and expertise that make each project unique and user-driven. The “party” is not a one-off event, it is a critical part of the continuum, connecting our work with UATG in the past to our work with you in the future. It is a toast to the beginning of a new immersive process - We relish the creative synthesis that results from teamwork – and that requires us to quickly build trust, and find enjoyment working together. The Kick-off will set the tone for our work sessions to be focused on collaborative ideation, creativity and strategic thinking.
